We need a logo
July 11, 2006Because a picture says more than a thousand words (I know, the mother of all clichés) we are in search of a good logo. So all you creative people out there, start sketching and painting. In short we are looking for a logo that…
- … has a simple font, nothing too fancy or illegible
- … should have a graphical element that refers to HCI
- … has a limited set of colors and it should also still be legible and attractive in black and white.
- … can be used for web and print.
- … spells SIGCHI.BE (not SIGCHI Belgium, BelCHI or any other name)

I keep wondering why people find it so easy to have so little respect for the design of a logo. Maybe you guys should first begin and think about the impossible name you have chosen for your organisation. Quite strange with a committee full of people who ought to know better…

Granted, SIGCHI is a strange acronym, so blame ACM
We just want to make clear that we are affiliated with ACM’s SIGCHI and not just another HCI initiative. So for the time being SIGCHI.be is the name of the game.
