Namahn is looking for an interaction designer

INTERACTION DESIGNER AT NAMAHN, BRUSSELS

Due to strong demand for its services, Namahn is looking to recruit an interaction designer to join its team of 14 HCI professionals.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: You have a master/PhD degree or equivalent experience in HCI, interaction design, industrial design, human-factors engineering, cognitive psychology, user-centered design or related disciplines.
Languages: Practical knowledge of French, Dutch and English is a great asset on this job.
Skills: We are looking for great design craft and an understanding of software engineering practices.
Tools: Experience with Adobe Fireworks or other prototyping tools would be nice to have.

JOB

Kind of work: Most of your time, you will be working on our client’s design projects in cross-functional teams. At our clients, we deploy the complete set of HCI and UCD practices, ranging from field studies to detailed specification. You get to contribute to an advanced research project.
Place of work: Work takes place either at Namahn (Brussels), at the client or at home, depending on the requirements of the project.

OFFERING

Pay and benefits: In addition to a fair monthly wage in line with your experience, Namahn offers free public transport and mobile telephone service.
Working hours: You have a contract with us for 38 hours a week (or less), which is the number of working hours you are supposed to put in on average. Overtime is compensated.
Bonus: The bonus package assures that you will do well if Namahn does well.
Experience: When eventually you leave Namahn, you will have learned a tremendous amount about interaction design, small-company management and gaining the trust of clients.
